Your steps are yours. Here is exactly what WalkTools collects, what it never collects, and how your data is handled.
Last updated: January 2026. This policy covers both the WalkTools website (the free walking calculators) and the WalkTools iPhone app.
Our free calculators run entirely in your browser. Numbers you type — weight, height, step counts — are used to compute a result on your device and are never sent to our servers or stored by us.
Values entered into any calculator on this site are processed locally in your browser. We do not transmit, log, or retain them.
We use privacy-friendly, cookie-free analytics to count page views and understand which tools are popular. These metrics are aggregated and cannot be used to identify you. No personal profiles are built and no data is sold.
If you join the launch list, we store the email address you provide solely to notify you when the app is available. You can ask us to delete it at any time.
In the WalkTools app, step and route data stays on your device and in your private Apple Health store. We do not upload it to our servers.
You can request access to, or deletion of, any data associated with your email address. Reach us through the contact page and we will respond promptly.
If this policy changes materially, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify subscribers by email.
